I love light and open family living spaces, especially those with a casually sophisticated design style.
My favorite FAMILY ROOMS typically have a seating area centered around a generous coffee table, natural elements like stone and wood, great lighting, and soft carpeting underfoot.
Big, comfy sofas and arm chairs layered with a lovely throw and a few plump toss cushions help to create a space that's warm, cozy and perfect for spending time with the family.

I could see my family sitting back and relaxing in any one of these classic and cozy living spaces.
Which one of these rooms would be a welcoming sight for you the end of a long day?

Hello Wendi,
I particularly like the first room.......so pretty and intimate.
Have a lovely day.

Gorgeous rooms! I have been wanting to redo my fireplace in stone so I think the second one is my favorite!

All of these family rooms are beautiful, Wendi. For me, a fireplace is a must, and as you said, big, comfy furniture to curl up in.

All beautiful, comfy seating, a lot of squishy pillows, a roaring fire, a great reading chair are all ingredients that to me make a beautiful family room and all of these have got it!
Beautiful spaces, Wendi!! I'd be happy in all of them, but my favorite is the navy and white room. It's calling my name!!

All of these are my style-white, bright, pretty woodwork. It doesn't get much better than that!
Beautiful rooms....so comfortable and stylish....
Hi Wendi! Beautiful post. I am with you, I love a warm and cozy living room. I like to feel comfortable visually and physically when I am in a space. Fireplaces always help:) Happy Sunday!
Fun photos! Thanks!
These are all amazing! Wish I could say one of them was mine! :) I love the pictures where there is a little rustic element mixed in with the modern touches. Thanks for sharing!
